Lower scores don’t come from hitting the ball farther—they come from mastering the shots that matter most. The Jeff Symmonds Short Game School at Deer Creek Golf Club is a focused, hands-on 3-hour training experience designed to help golfers develop the skills that save strokes around the green.
Led by PGA Life Member Teaching Professionals, this program is dedicated exclusively to the three areas that have the greatest impact on scoring: chipping, pitching, bunker play, and putting.
Unlike traditional golf lessons that cover every aspect of the game, this school is dedicated entirely to improving your short game—the fastest way to shave strokes off your score.
During your session, you’ll develop both the techniques and course-management strategies needed to play with greater confidence around the greens.
Learn how to execute crisp, consistent chip and pitch shots from a variety of lies and distances. More importantly, you’ll understand which shot to play, when to play it, and why, giving you greater confidence every time you miss a green.
A great putting stroke is built on understanding—not guesswork. We’ll help you better understand your putting stroke, how your putter works with your natural motion, and the adjustments that can dramatically reduce three-putts and lower your scores.
Take the fear out of sand shots. Learn the proven fundamentals and techniques that allow accomplished players to escape greenside bunkers with confidence. Imagine stepping into a bunker expecting to get up and down—not simply hoping to get out.
Every session is taught by experienced PGA Life Member Teaching Professionals who have helped golfers of every ability improve their games. Instruction is personalized, practical, and designed to give you skills you can immediately take to the golf course.
